A Note from Mr. McKim

I honestly can’t believe it’s almost May already, but it never fails that school years fly by here at ENE! Personally, I think it has a lot to do with awesome students and staff having a lot of fun learning and growing together!
As I mentioned in the announcements, the pace of our final month will be busy and exciting, so buckle up and hold on! 😂 But before things get too crazy and May 28th  arrives, I want to thank each of you for partnering with us once again to make it a great school year.  I am 100% confident that our home/school cooperation is one of the many significant reasons that this is an AMAZING school.  Please know how much I appreciate you, the ENE Parents, and all your efforts to trust and join us in your child’s educational journey.
If there is anything at all I can do to help or clarify in the coming weeks, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

FINISH STRONG, PANTHERS!

Counselor’s Corner

For parents who are looking for ways to help their child use technology in a safe and responsible way, The Amazing Generation by Jonathan Haidt and Catherine Price is a helpful resource to explore together. This engaging, student-friendly book helps children better understand their relationship with technology -highlighting ways it can support learning and connection, while also explaining how overuse or misuse can negatively impact their well-being.
I’ve had many conversations with families who are concerned about how technology is affecting their child’s mood, focus, and relationships. The Amazing Generation offers a helpful starting point for those discussions. I encourage parents to read this book alongside their child and use it as a springboard for meaningful conversations about healthy habits, balance, and digital responsibility.

NEW EASTBROOK SUPERINTENDENT

Dear Eastbrook Families,
We are thrilled to announce that during the ECSC School Board meeting on April 27th, Mr. Patrick McLaughlin was officially appointed as the new Superintendent of Eastbrook Schools.
This appointment is the result of an extensive search process that prioritized the feedback you provided in our community surveys earlier this year. Thank you for your participation and support during this process.
Mr. McLaughlin’s first day at Eastbrook will be May 4th. Please join us in welcoming Mr. McLaughlin to the district.
